Today we’re going to discuss “wibbly wobbly timey wimey stuff”. That is, phrases having to do with time. We’re going to look at how to ask and give the date, using the names for the months and the dates of the month. Listen to the word for “month”. yuè Repeat the word for “month”. ○ 月 ○ 月 Now listen to the names of the first three months of the year. 一月 二月 三月 Did you catch how they’re named? In Chinese the months are numbered rather than named, starting with January as #1. Listen again. First the English will be given and then the Chinese. January 一月 February 二月 March 三月 Repeat the names of these three months. ○ 一月 二月 三月 ○ 一月 二月 三月 Now, just the English will be given. You give the Chinese.
